The Character of a Biblical Pastor and Elder

Biblical eldership begins with Christlike character before leadership ability. Elders and lead pastors are called to godly character, faithful homes, spiritual maturity, sound doctrine, and humble shepherding. Because Christ is the Head of the church, pastors serve as under-shepherds, entrusted with His Word and His people.
