Preserved by Grace, Persevering by Faith

Romans 8 reminds us that the perseverance of the saints begins with the preservation of God. From eternity past to eternity future, God accomplishes every step of our salvation. The Father has purposed it, the Son has secured it through His death and resurrection, and the Holy Spirit faithfully applies and sustains it. Though believers will face trials, temptation, and even seasons of weakness, nothing can separate them from the love of God in Christ. Our assurance rests not in the strength of our grip on God, but in His unfailing grip on us. Therefore, we persevere in faith because God faithfully preserves His people until the day they stand before Him in glory.
